Al-Anon Alive 12/2008

If you are suffering because someone close to you drinks too much, there is a seat for you at this meeting.

Who Should Attend?

This meeting is for anyone fitting any line below:

bulletNewcomers attending their First Al-Anon Meeting because someone close to them drinks or drugs too much
bulletLong-timers who have been in the program an understand how it works
bulletAlcoholics who are members of AA but are struggling with a friend or loved one still drinking or drugging
bulletIf you are reading this, you should try our program

If someone close to you drinks or drugs too much.  If you are sitting out in your car watching others going to the meeting and wanting to attend an Al-Anon meeting but are afraid to come in, take the first step. Come on in and begin to feel better.

"I used to attend Al-Anon meetings and walked away when I left my husband thinking I no longer needed them. Oh my, was I wrong. I still do need them. I am married again and the man that I am married to has a problem with drugs. I have searched for a 12-step program for families of loved ones that have a drug addict in their life but there is nothing around my area. My counselor told me to go back to Al-Anon. Life was so much simpler when I was in Al-Anon and worked my program."

We urge you to try our program. Without spiritual help, living with an alcoholic (or addict), now or in the past, is too much for most of us.
