Pass It On Club Anniversary Dinner and Open Meeting sponsored by the Easy Does It

The Pass It On Club's 13th Anniversary Dinner held on November 15, 2008 was a sold-out event.  Those that waited too long to get tickets missed a lot of great home-cooking. The Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner of home made turkey with stuffing has become a club tradition which is always followed by two excellent speakers.  There were well over 100 attendees. The dinner was a traditional home made turkey dinner with all of the fixings.

The event was sponsored by the club's own Al-Anon group called Easy Does It which meets on Friday evenings.

What is next?  Our group is sponsoring the Pass It On Club's Annual Spaghetti & Meatball Dinner on Saturday January 24, 2009. It will be a traditional home-made Thanksgiving dinner with all of the trimmings along with an open speaker meeting.

Easy Does It Group's Spaghetti Dinner and Open Meeting at the Pass It On Club

The event took place on Saturday, February 23, 2008.  It was the best open meeting our group ever had with great food and well over 130 attendees.  There were and are loads of people to be thanked for all of the work involved in putting on an event like this. Tickets and flyers had to thought through and printed, the hall had to be prepared, the food had to purchased and prepared, the speakers had to go over their thoughts and then actually stand up in front of the group and tell their stories. Their stories, that are parts of all of the audience members' stories too, were more than well received. Their stories were more than just remembered (in everyone's memories as parts of their own), their stories were acknowledged (in thoughts of parallels in everyone's similar experiences), their stories were (in one word) shared.

To everyone that participated in this spaghetti dinner and open meeting: Thank You!

Contributions Are Accepted

As of March, 2007, we can accept donations we need to support Al-Anon infrastructures as well as our on-line pages located here. The Al-Anon 7th Tradition states: "Every group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions." The only requirement for membership in Al-Anon is that you have now, or have had a friend or loved one with a drinking problem. Our only source of income is from member donations. Please help.

Contributions go to pay rent, literature and to support the South Eastern Al-Anon Inter-service group, our group's Al-Anon Area, Our Al-Anon District and the Al-Anon World Service Office. Please donate to this cause.

bulletto help our group survive financially
bulletTo encourage those needing help to attend Al-Anon meetings

Play our daily readings and virtual meetings.  This is a new project of ours. The page will contain readings and eventually discussions.  Look at it as a sort of virtual meeting.  Sample a reading here.
